I was pretty sure of Donald’s face so I started filling in the shadows around the nose and the eyes. Light and shadow contrasts renders the face appear three-dimensional and also makes a drawing come alive.

Note that the distance between the inside corners of the eyes is also equal to the width of an eye.

I didn’t yet recognize Kiefer in my drawing so I started working on his right eye but somehow I couldn’t make it look right….
