Donald’s progress was going on fine; I was still filling in more values around the eyes, using a 2B pencil to make them a bit darker.

Kiefer was a real piece of work; I’ve worked too long on the eye, so I got back to drawing the shadows. Somehow the form of his head, mostly of his face, was not right….

I brought his cheekbone a bit down, drew his lips a bit smaller and lengthened his nose. Now it looked more like Kiefer, but that special look on his face was not yet there.
