So now I drew Donald’s left side by just shading it with the pencil, I didn’t want to go into details because this would have taken away the effect of the right eye.

Back to Kiefer; I just kept on drawing shades to make him look more graphic. Plus I darkened his right eye but I didn’t draw it as detailed as Donald’s eye.

Then I began “shaping” his ear, so that it looked more like a “Kiefer ear” (he has very peculiar ears). I also drew in some values to the hair.

I now think that I drew the back of his head a little too small, it seems flat. And I also don’t really like his left eye but at least he looks a bit like Kiefer now…
